At the end of June, we went on holiday to Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a medieval town located in the Gorges de l’Aveyron, on the border of the Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne. I love this corner and this village, on the border of Rouergue, on the borders of Albigenses and Quercy.
“Saint-Antonin is a city with a prestigious past, its name comes from the valley Nobilis Vallis called by the Romans, it is home to the oldest city hall in France dating back to the XII th century, it is an authentic medieval city, whose alleys and alleys have more than 8 centuries, a whole patrimony of houses with ogives, half-timberings, covered passages … and a group of buildings classified or registered in the national heritage registers. “
The gorges of the Aveyron and the cliffs of Roc d’Anglars, abound of nice swimming and sporting spots.
On Sunday morning, there is the market on the main square, it is one of the best known in the region. You will find good products from the southwest.
I discovered Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val when I was in college, on a school trip, we had climbed, kayak, mountain biking and caving. I loved it!
When we lived in Toulouse, we went back with friends for a weekend, to go green.
This time we went with baby, we rented a small stone house, an old barn, in a small corner of the countryside, a few kilometers from the village. When I found this house on Airbnb, I had a real favorite! I’ll show it to you in the next post;)
